By knowing each films strengths (and weaknesses), you can know exactly what to look for in a film and exactly when to use a particular film over another. Sure, you could click through all the presets in VSCO Film 01 and just see what I think “looks good,” but I think a much better approach is to really understand the underlying films which are being emulated. But I’ve always want more information about the films themselves. I’m a big fan of the film emulators VSCO makes for lightroom, and I’ve seen lots of other posts about VSCO Film 01.
